i have to unplug my wii u and restart it because it doesn't load the game. I found these settings on another site but im still having the same issue of it freezing. AFAIK I've setup dios mios to run through usbloadergx, a while ago. i could load the gamecube games fine with nintendont but if i try in usb loader gx, it hangs on the nintendont loading screen. I added nintendont, updated it and have the latest usb loader gx. I have the RVL-mios-v10.wad file on the root of my SD card and unzipped YAWMM into the apps section of my SD card, but YAWMM wasn't showing up in the homebrew channel, only Nintendont was. Thanks, sorry for the late reply, i was waiting for my mayflash adapter to come in and i finally got my mayflash gamecube to wii u 4 controller adapter. In looking for a solution, I found this guide and realized that I would need to reinstall the MIOS on my Wii to fix it and followed the steps here. (I realize now that was dumb, but I'm very inexperienced with wii hacking.)Īs of now, I have Nintendont working on my Wii, with no other apps, but when I go to play gamecube games through the disc, it still loads the DIOS MIOS screen and the games have no memory, even with the card in. DIOS MIOS wasn't working for me, so I just deleted the files from my SD card when I installed Nintendont.
I have Nintendont now, but I followed an outdated guide when I homebrewed my wii (to install 20xx) and installed DIOS MIOS first. Algunas wii que tienen chip (wazabii dx por ejemplo) no son.
Hey, I realize that this is really late, but I found this post looking for a solution to my problem. 2.- abre el archivo rar y descomprime el contenido del archivo Tutorial DIOS MIOS V2.0. Verify your games are there, and now verify your games work. Open the Homebrew Channel and then open Nintendont. Place your SD/HD into your Wii and turn it on. Just drag that into the /games/ folder on your SD card.
It will automatically rename the ISO to 'game.iso' and place it in the proper "GALE01" folder, so you don't have to look it up on. Instead of doing this manually, drag your backup file onto the DiscEX.exe file. Melee backed up and it isn't in the proper file/folder structure. Drag these converted backups to a folder called /games/ on your SD/HD. This will automatically place your GameCube backups into the proper file/folder structure required for Nintendont. Drag your GameCube games onto the DiscEX.exe file. Extract the contents of DiscEX to a folder on your desktop called DiscEX. Drag the Nintendont DOL file into this folder. Next, create a folder in the /apps/ folder on your SD card called 'Nintendont'. If you haven't installed Nintendont, follow the instructions also on this page to setup your hard drive/SD card properly.
Awesome!įirst, download Nintendont from this page. Insert any GameCube disc and verify that it plays as it should. Follow the on-screen instructions to get back to the system menu. Select your SD card, then find the RVL-mios-v10.wad file. You may be asked which IOS you would like to use. Turn the Wii on and open the Homebrew Channel. Place that in the /apps/ folder on your SD card so it will show up in the Homebrew Channel. Place that WAD file in the root of your SD card. You'll find your wad located in the NUS Downloader folder at the location in this screenshot Now, make the main window of NUS Downloader look like this! Now select "Start Download". Once it opens, you want to make the following choice in the 'database' menu. Right-click 'NUS Downloader.exe' and select "Run as Administrator". Create a folder on your desktop called NUS Downloader and unzip the NUS Downloader files into that folder. We will start by downloading the NUS Downloader. It isn't very difficult at all and shouldn't take very long but there can be some danger involved when installing a WAD file. However to try and keep your Wii as stock as possible and to avoid the possibility that you cannot play GameCube discs with DIOS MIOS, we might as well replace it with the stock MIOS. Nintendont is a Wii mode homebrew to play gamecube games on Wii and WiiU vWii. I know that DIOS MIOS can be used together with Nintendont. I also ran into this with a friends Wii that he softmodded a few years ago and wanted me to fix, so I now have had to do it and understand how it is done. However, every now and again I see a few users who still have DIOS MIOS installed and would like to remove it. Let me preface this by saying by now, most of you should be using Nintendont. It also assumes you have made a NAND backup and have the proper brick protection in place. This guide assumes you have previously modded your Wii at some point in time and have working access to an updated Homebrew Channel as well as the properly formatted SD/USB drives.
